Workshop Overview

The Financial Literacy & Homeownership Workshop Series was a two-part, community-focused initiative designed to strengthen families, promote generational stability, and provide practical education around financial decision-making and property ownership in the Town of Campti.|

Hosted in partnership with the Town of Campti, this series brought together financial professionals, housing experts, and local leadership to deliver accessible, actionable information to residents—many of whom are navigating critical financial and housing decisions for themselves and their families.

Each session was structured to encourage participation, questions, and real-world application.

Outcomes & Impact

  • Delivered practical, community-centered financial education

  • Connected residents directly with trusted financial and housing professionals

  • Increased awareness of homeownership programs and resources

  • Created a welcoming space for open dialogue and questions

  • Strengthened collaboration between local government, financial institutions, and community members

Program Leadership & Facilitation

This two-part series was facilitated by Orhan Mc Millan, in collaboration with Mayor Katrina Evans and a diverse group of financial, legal, and housing professionals—each bringing expertise aligned with the real needs of the Campti community.

Services Provided

  • Collaborated directly with Mayor Katrina Evans on overall planning and execution for both workshop sessions

  • Developed the event structure, agenda flow, and session timing

  • Identified, recruited, and coordinated subject-matter speakers and partners

  • Created event graphics and visual assets for promotion and on-site use

  • Wrote and scheduled social media content to promote each session

  • Served as emcee, guiding the program, introducing speakers, and facilitating Q&A
