Hosted for the Louisiana SBDC Office in Lafayette, this two half-day workshop with a follow-up virtual session guided small business owners through the process of creating a website they could confidently manage on their own. The training was designed for entrepreneurs who wanted a clear, beginner-friendly path to move from ideas and branding to an actual working website.
Participants explored the full website-building journey, including clarifying their brand message, choosing a domain and hosting setup, organizing site navigation, writing page content, selecting images and video, and using user-friendly website platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, and others. AI tools were also incorporated throughout the experience to help simplify writing, structure, and creative development.
Whether attendees were starting from scratch or improving an outdated web presence, the goal was simple: help them leave with a website that was launched or nearly ready to launch, along with the confidence to maintain and use it as part of their overall marketing strategy.
